Supporting our community
Food for Others (2938 Prosperity Ave, Fairfax) is one of the biggest food banks in our area, serving 2,000 families a week. Last year, job losses and furloughs fueled a 400% increase in clientele. Although demand has declined, it remains high and access to fresh produce is still at the top of the request list.
Home gardeners can fulfill the need for fresh, healthy vegetables, fruits and herbs.
If you want to deliver a donation, but aren't near Food for Others, there are many other pantries taking donations of fresh produce. If you are a food bank or pantry that would like to benefit from Grow a Row or be added to this list, please reach out.
