Welcome to Grow a Row in NoVA

Grow a Row is a community-wide effort to grow fresh produce to donate. We have two chapters:

FC (Falls Church/Fairfax County/Fairfax City) and PW (Prince William County, Manassas and Manassas Park).

Participating is easy:

  1. Dedicate a row of your garden or a container to growing food to donate. Want support? We can give you seeds and a soil test kit and gardening support from our volunteer mentors.

  2. Download the Fresh Food Connect app on your phone or tablet and have access to all the details to make your donation easy.

Need another option? Check out this list of nearby food pantries that accept fresh produce or look in the weekly update for Grow a Row drop-off sites. Then tell us what you donated and how much by using this form.

    3. Continue to share your garden bounty throughout the season.

Don't have a green thumb?

We love to help new gardeners! But if hands in the soil isn't your thing, we also need volunteers to get produce from gardens to pantries, to deliver seeds and plants, and to assist with operations.

Learn more about all of our volunteer opportunities here.

We [gardeners] have knowledge that can improve our communities exponentially.”
